A silver coin issued under the Mughal rulers, Jahandar Shah and Farrukhsiyar (1712 to 1719 CE), minted at Gulshanabad (modern-day Nashik) was sold at a hammer price of Rs. 2.5 lakhs at the ‘Rare Fair’ annual exhibition and trade fair of stamps, coins, paper money, and other antiques. The coin is believed to have been minted at one of the goldsmith shops located in present-day Taksal Lane in Nashik during the Mughal era. The coin is extremely rare, weighs 11.5 grams, and measures 24 mm in diameter.

A silver Nazarana double rupee of Bahawalpur realised Rs. 1.30 lakhs in the same auction. It was probably issued by Nawab Amir Muhammad Bahawal Khan II (1772-1809 CE) of Bahawalpur state as a ‘Nazr’ or tribute to Shuja ul-Mulk on the occasion of his second coronation.
